This year the theme for the childrens Craft Tent was the sea

Seven Local Primary schools are invited in to spend time in the Childrens Tent on the Friday to have the opportunity to have a go at being creative.

St Catherine's Primary School were really fortunate, through the British Ceramic Tile Percent for Art funding, to be at the Craft Fair for the whole day so that all the children from Violet class that went were able to try out as many of the workshops as possible, as well as starting work on the Mosaic they were able to create their own Silk Banners to hang on their wall at school; to try rag rugging, weaving, paper mache, junk modelling, felt making, candle dipping, make clay fish, painting - in all a fantastic opportunity for them to be creative!

On the Saturday and Sunday Children under 14 get in free when accompanied by their parents and they can sample all the different workshops for free.They were able to take home individual Mosaic Tiles, their own silk painting which could be made into a flag, fish on sticks and recycled crabs and fish made out of clay - the list in endless!
